Krasnodar Krai. The enterprise was established in 2007. The total land area is 316 hectares with orchards according to the intensive technology with a hedgerow system and drip irrigation. There is a storage facility for 6,800 tons, 24 cold-storage chambers, sorting and packaging lines. There are plans to lay out new intensive-type orchards.
Lipetsk region One of the oldest farms of the country existing since 1919. The farming enterprise has total 20,000 hectares of land, its own fruit and berry orchards, production of juices and fruit purees. In 2016 the farming company laid out its first 108 hectares of intensive apple orchards; total 500 hectares more of orchards will be modernized before 2021 with transition to intensive technologies, which will allow threefold increase of the apple yield.
Lipetsk region Agronom-Sad Company, Lebedyan area of Lipetsk region, one of the oldest enterprises in the sphere of horticulture. The company grows and sells apples and berries; the total area of the enterprise is 5,400 hectares. 2,000 hectares are taken by orchards, 1,000 hectares of them being orchards of the intensive type. The company keeps developing; in 2018 a storage for 50,000 tons will be laid, with plans of laying out an orchard of 1,026 hectares.
Ingushetia Sad-Gigant Ingushetia, the first orchard was laid out in 2013 according to intensive technologies allowing the harvest of 55,000 tons from a hectare. Today there are over 15 varieties of apples grown in the orchards as well as bird cherries, plums, peaches, nectarines; the area of the intensive orchards will be 1,026 hectares by 2019. The first stage of the storage for 60,000 tons has been built with sorting and packaging lines.
Krasnodar region. LLC Yuzhnie Zemli is a subsidiary of the agroholding AFG National, which specializes in the production of apples of the highest commercial varieties, laying orchards with the use of superintensive technology in the Krasnodar Territory with a yield of up to 60 tons of apples per hectare. By the beginning of 2019, the company laid 700 hectares of orchards, created a nursery for growing rootstocks and built a fruit storage facility with a capacity of 5 thousand tons with a line for washing and sorting apples. The total investment has exceeded 6 billion rubles. The company plans to further expand the area under apple orchards to 3,500 hectares or more.
Volgograd region Sady Pridonya Company specializes in growing and processing of fruits and vegetables and is a major producer of juices and baby food. Sady Pridonya develops superintensive horticulture on small-stature and semismall-stature forms of stock using the most advanced technologies. Fruits are grown in six agricultural branches of the company on the area of over 7,000 hectares in Volgograd, Saratov and Penza regions. 5,000 hectares of them are fruit-bearing orchards and 2,000 hectares are young ones. The company grows over 60 summer, autumn and winter varieties of apples as well as cherry, bird cherry, and plums. The company annually lays out new orchards on the area of 500 hectares.
Plodovoye, Eisk area of Krasnodar Krai, is one of the major enterprises of Russia for growing apples, bird cherry, cherry, apricots, and plum. The total area of the land is 1,835 hectares; an investment project for laying out of an orchard of the superintensive type on the area of 300 hectares is currently under development. There are plans of modernization of sorting lines and drip irrigation.
Since last year Sady Karachaevo-Cherkessii Company has been implementing a project of fruit orchards restoration in the region. By the late 2017 it laid out about 130 hectares of apple orchards; this year the first intensive pear orchard in the region has been set out. Apart from apples and pears the company will grow bird cherry and plum and a fruit storage is supposed to be built. Project manager Aidyn Shirinov considers that the republic can become the major pear producer in Russia.
At St. Petersburg 2018 International Economic Forum the delegation of Stavropol region signed an agreement in the sphere of development of Stavropol Krai. The document was signed by Governor of Stavropol Krai Vladimir Vladimirov and Aidyn Shirinov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Sad Stavropolya Stavropol Center of Nursery Science. The investment project includes laying out of an intensive orchard of 400 hectares and construction of a wholesale distribution center for 30 tons of products. The project implementation is scheduled until the end of 2023 in the vicinity of Mineralnye Vody. This will allow creation of about 200 new jobs.
